  I took my son's hiking/camping jacket in for zipper repair. Two different employees handled it and gave me a price quote which was outrageous, but I left it anyway because I wasn't comfortable doing the repair myself. After driving the 40 miles home, I received a call from a frantic employee who said the coat smelled of fire and I had to come get it right away. She said it was "stinking up the place and contaminating all the clothes". By the way she was acting on the phone, you would have thought she found a vial of ebola virus in the jacket pocket. I wasn't about to drive 80 miles to retrieve it that day so I went down on Monday. It was hanging right with all the other clothes with a big note attached that said to keep it away from all the other clothes. I was treated like I had cooties. Very unprofessional!
  
  This is a follow up to Mr. Feigenbaum's response: of course your employee isn't going to admit to how she spoke to me. Does "stinking up the place" sound professional to you? Your tailor handled the jacket while I was there. If it was so awful, why didn't she refuse it on the spot? And your employee did not offer to clean it. She said I had to clean it and then said it would have to be "ozoned" before you would repair it and that would cost me an additional $25 on top of the $46 for the zipper.
